Any adult is eligible to make application at the Center as long as his/her high school class has graduated. Participation in the American College Testing program (ACT) is mandatory for all students pursuing a degree.
Although a GED test result may be used, it is not a requirement for admission. Students who successfully complete 30 semester hours of college credit may benefit doubly from their efforts. They gain college sophomore status and at the same time become eligible for an official high school diploma issued by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
Students pursuing a degree should consult the catalog of their college/university or confer with academic advisors regarding specific admission requirements.
Transfer of Credits
The Ardmore Higher Education Program provides residence credit offered from East Central University (ECU), Murray State College (MSC), Southeastern Oklahoma State University (SOSU), and Oklahoma State University - OKC (OSU-OKC). All credit earned meets residence requirements and is TRANSFERRABLE TO ANY STATE INSTITUTION, subject to the course and program requirements of the receiving institution.
